General Information & Shipping Status

Update for those of you based in the EU:

(12 Aug 2026)

With much regret, I've has to indefinitely suspend shipping for physical copies of my games to customers in the EU.

Having jumped through the various administrative hoops associated with EU GPSR compliance, the new EU PPWR regulations (which relate to packaging) have placed another hurdle in the way.

In short, this new regulation seems to require all businesses to document all packaging used, focus on recyclable packaging, and potentially register (or find a representative) in every EU member state they ship to.

This legislation applies to any business sending items to an EU customer – even EU-based customers in other member states. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to adequately distinguish between retailers like Amazon and retailers like me.

There may be some nuance to this, and some exemptions for small businesses, but there's mostly confusion at present. As you can likely imagine, the financial and administrative burden the PPWR requirements potentially place on small businesses and solo creators is excessive.

I intend to look into my options in relation to this new legislation but, if there is no exemption for businesses such as mine, then I will likely have to permanently suspend shipping to the EU.

I don't want to, of course, but I simply can't take on the extra work (or cost) that PPWR might involve. I already try to use recyclable and environmentally-friendly packaging wherever possible, so that's not an issue, but I'm already spending too much time on admin when I want to be actually making games, and I don't want that to get worse.

Digital editions should still be available to EU customers – please do let me know if you have any issues with those at checkout.

If you'd like to express your displeasure about the implementation of the PPWR regulations, you can currently express your opinion directly to the EU here, and via a petition here.

I do hope that I'll be able to ship to the EU again before too long. 💜

Dispatch Timeframes

Physical Editions

I am an individual creator who ships everything out personally, and folks who know me will tell you that my diary is often jam-packed. As such, I can't promise that my dispatch times will be as good as a full retail store! I will, however, do my best to make sure that your order enters the postal system as quickly as possible. It'll usually be within 1–3 days, and I'll let you know if there are any problems or bigger delays.

Any major shipping delays, stock updates, etc. will be posted on this page.

If you have any problems or really need your item(s) ASAP (e.g. because it's a gift), please let me know using the contact information below.

Digital Editions

Download links for products are provided immediately through this website following purchase of the digital or physical editions (which each include a digital copy as standard).

If you buy Darkened Hill & Dale or TERMINUS from me directly on this website I'm happy to also add it to your DriveThruRPG account at no extra cost. Just use the comments box on the checkout page to let me know the email address associated with your DriveThruRPG account and I'll sort it out as soon as possible following your purchase. I cannot offer this service for anything that's been collaboratively published.

Customs & Fees

Products are shipped from the UK. International customers may have to pay customs fees and other charges on receipt of your order, which you are liable for. This will vary by territory and order value, and I cannot advise on these potential costs.

UK tax does not currently apply to any product in this web shop.

Gifts & Notes

If you want to ship something directly to another person as a gift and would like me to include a hand-written gift note on your behalf, please get in touch. I don't charge extra for this.

I wrap books in colourful tissue paper as standard for shipping, and am happy to add simple hand-written gift notes into orders if you want to ship something directly to someone else.

If you are ordering something to be sent directly to someone as a gift, please ensure that you leave me a note during the checkout process; don't forget to include the text of what you'd like me to write on the gift note, and any other information that's relevant. I can also include a voucher to allow the recipient to download their PDF copy directly where applicable.

If you have any questions about any of this, please do get in touch before placing your order; I should be able to respond to enquiries within a few hours.

Stockists

This web shop is the only place where you can currently buy artwork items or other ephemera, but the books are available through several fine retailers.

I can't guarantee stock levels for any retailers, but the following shops may have items from Patchwork Fez Games in stock:

Upgrading from PDF to Physical Editions
